North Dakota Advisors Managing $180 Million Join Raymond James

Midwest Wealth, a Fargo, North Dakota, firm managing $180 million in assets, has joined Raymond James Financial Services, the independent advisor channel of Raymond James.

Financial advisors Jim Dunkel, CFP, and Sarah Dunkel head the Fargo firm, which provides personalized financial planning to clients including farmers, business owners, families and retirees. Midwest Wealth previously was with LPL Financial, where they managed approximately $180 million in client assets.

“After visiting the Raymond James home office, Sarah and I knew it was the clear choice for our independent practice,” Jim Dunkel said in a news release. “The firm lives out its excellent reputation on a daily basis, while its philosophy and culture align with how we want to run our business and serve our clients. The innovative technology is also a major win to help elevate our service.”

Jim Dunkel has provided financial planning services since 1994 was at LPL Financial for seven years. Sarah, his daughter-in-law became a financial advisor in 2022. She’s pursuing the CFP professional designation.
