From Sports Greats to Pop Icons, Some Celebs Reap Huge Returns

A new analysis by BrokerChooser ranks the world's most successful celebrity investors.

Rapper Bad Bunny is the world’s most successful celebrity investor, bringing in $88 million per year in income. That’s more than twice his $43 million net worth, according to an analysis of 200 of the top celebrity investors by BrokerChooser.

Athletes who rank in the top five most successful investor celebrities include Giannis Antetokounmpo, with the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks, (100.43% return); Patrick Mahomes, quarterback for the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs, (96.44%); and Stephen Curry (62.40%), with the NBA’s Golden State Warriors Those figures show strong gains from endorsement deals and business ventures, according to a news release from BrokerChooser, which provides information on foreign exchange brokers.

YouTube personality MrBeast has a 70.83% return on net worth, mostly from business ventures valued at more than $70 million.

Three musical artists in the top 15 most successful celebrity investors — Drake,  Taylor Swift, and Beyoncé — get a significant amount of their returns from huge portfolios of intellectual property.

BrokerChooser noted that the latest entry of a sports personality into the retail trade industry is Mike Tyson, who was recently appointed as Brand Ambassador for online broker NAGA.

Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny’s $60 million investment portfolio includes luxury real estate, business ventures, intellectual property, and endorsements. More than 43% ($26 million), is in real estate, including a $8.3 million purchase of a ranch-style Los Angeles home. The house was formerly owned by Ariana Grande, who paid $8.9 million.

Antetokounmpo has a $61.3 million investment portfolio that includes real estate and business ventures. Lucrative endorsements account for nearly 75% of the total at $45 million. The NBA great’s Nike “Zoom Freak” shoe line brings in $10 million annually. Antetokounmpo has jokingly said he does Bitcoin for a living. An NFT of him sold for $187,000 in ETH (Ethereum).3,4,5

Mahomes, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, has a $66 million investment portfolio that features endorsement deals ($40M), business ventures ($15M), and luxury real estate ($8M). His 8-acre estate in Belton, Missouri, has a football field and golf course, and he owns another home in Texas worth $3.37 million
