Assets Invested in U.S. ETFs Surge to Record High in September

The U.S. ETF industry scored a new record high of $10 trillion in invested assets at the end of September, according to the independent research firm ETFGI.

During September the industry tallied net inflows of $97.29 billion for a record year-to-date net inflow of $740.81 billion, according to ETFGI’s September 2024 US ETFs and ETPs industry landscape insights report.

Report highlights include:

  • Assets invested in the ETF industry in the United States reached a record of $10 trillion at the end of September surpassing the previous record of $9.74 trillion at the end of August.
  • Assets have risen 23.2% YTD in 2024, increasing from $8.11 trillion at end of 2023 to $10 trillion.
  • Net inflows in September totaled $97.29 billion.
  • The year-to-date net inflows of $740.81 billion are the highest on record.
  • September 2024 is the 29th consecutive month of net inflows.
