The Top 200 Places Where Luxury Apartments Come With Bargain Rents

Renters in search of high-end apartment don’t have to pay luxury prices in select locations around the country.

RentCafe.com reports that it has compiled a list of 200 zip codes where renters can get great deals on high-quality units, based on an analysis of 10,000 zip codes across the nation.

Half of the selected zip codes have high-end apartments for rents lower than city averages for upscale units — between $120 and $880 below the norm.

  • Seattle’s 98116 offers the most savings for upscale apartments in the U.S. Rents are about $880 lower than the citywide average for such units. Seattle has six of the top 20 zip codes for luxury apartments at lower rents — the  most of any city.
  • Scottsdale’s 85259 boasts a $581 saving on a premium unit. In addition, 90% of apartments have high-end amenities.
  • In Madison’s 53718, premium units make up 96.5% of apartments, but renters can see monthly savings of $470.
  • Dallas’ 75287 has high-end units for $450 below the typical rent for a luxury apartment in the city.
  • In San Jose’s 95125 and 95136, in Silicon Valley, renters can get premium units and save about $380 per month compared to the citywide average for such apartments.

The following  locations offer the most luxury zip codes at lower costs:

  • Austin, Texas, has 12 zip codes on the list. In several, premium units are priced from $55 to $333 below the typical rent for high-end apartments.
  • Atlanta and San Antonio each have nine zip codes where high end apartments go for $378 and $269, respectively, below regular value.
  • Denver offers seven zip codes with savings up to $223.

Texas is the top state for high-end apartments at lower rents, with 44 such zip, followed by Colorado with 19 and North Carolina with 16.
