Schwab Charitable, a leading provider of donor-advised funds, is marking its 25th anniversary by rebranding itself as DAFgiving360.
The new brand is intended to engage donors, their advisors, charities and the philanthropic community, the organization stated in a news release. Despite the name change, the experience of working with DAFgiving360 will not change for donors or financial advisors, and no changes are being made to account structures. DAFgiving360 seeks to:
- Promote the use of donor-advised funds, “so that every individual considers this simple, tax-smart, and efficient solution when they think about making charitable donations.”
- Make clear to donors and their advisors that DAFgiving360 is an independent 501(c)(3) public charity and what it provides.
- Highlight DAFgiving360’s commitment to providing a holistic giving solution centered on DAFs for donors and advisors.
Giving through DAFs has increased from about 5% to over 25% of individual giving in the U.S. over the past 10 years. Over the past 25 years, DAFgiving360 donors have granted more than $33 billion to almost 250,000 charities. Its donors last year granted a record $6 billion to charities through more than one million grants.
